Kicking off EPCA 2025 with a Sold-Out Reception in Berlin!
Women in Chemicals, together with our partners at Brenntag, were proud to host our annual EPCA Cocktail Reception at the Berlin Zoo for the second year in a row — bringing together women and allies from across the globe to connect, celebrate, and confront the challenges still facing our industry. This year’s event was sold out, a testament to the growing energy around our mission. The conversations were as vibrant as the setting: from the urgency of accelerating gender equity to the responsibility we all share in attracting and retaining the next generation of talent. As Brenntag CEO Jens Birgersson reminded us, “there are these 10 years at the beginning of someone’s career with many competing priorities” — and that’s exactly where support, mentorship, and opportunity are needed most.
For us at Women in Chemicals, this gathering underscored why our work matters: creating spaces where women and allies can show up, share their experiences, and leave empowered to push for change inside their organizations. The energy this year was stronger than ever — more people, more allies, and more commitment to making inclusion a reality in chemicals. A huge thank you to Brenntag for their partnership and to every attendee who joined us to kick off EPCA in such a meaningful way. Together, we are not just weathering the challenges ahead — we are shaping the future of chemicals.
