Women in Chemicals Represented at VNCI Women in Chemistry Network Event in the Netherlands

Women in Chemicals was proud to take part in the Women in Chemistry Network — Building Powerful Bonds event hosted by the Royal Association of the Dutch Chemical Industry (@VNCI) in Delft on Tuesday, February 3.

VNCI — the leading industry organisation representing approximately 600 chemical companies in the Netherlands — brings together stakeholders across the sector to advance safety, sustainability, innovation, and the transition toward a climate-neutral and circular chemical industry. The event reflected these values by creating space for connection, knowledge exchange, and professional development among women working across the chemical ecosystem.

More than 80 participants attended the session, which combined interactive workshops, speaker insights, and structured networking designed to help professionals strengthen and activate their networks more effectively.

Women in Chemicals was represented by Amelia Greene, Director of Strategic Partnerships and WIC Co-Founder, who spoke about the origins and growth of WIC as a global network supporting women across the chemicals sector. She highlighted how the organisation was built through purposeful relationship-building and international collaboration, and how strategic partnerships continue to expand opportunities for mentorship, visibility, and leadership.

WIC values collaboration with national industry associations such as VNCI and welcomes opportunities to connect regional and global networks to further strengthen inclusion and advancement across the chemical industry.
