Women in Chemicals Celebrates STEM Education at CEF National Challenge 2026

On June 3rd 2026, Women in Chemicals was proud to attend and sponsor this year's Creating Exciting Futures (CEF) National Challenge Dinner, which drew an impressive turnout in celebration of an event that matters so much to the future of our industry.

The evening brought together a broad cross-section of the chemical sector, offering a valuable opportunity to build relationships, exchange ideas, and strengthen connections across the community. But what stood out most was the strong focus on inspiring the next generation of talent.

The creativity and enthusiasm on display from the middle school finalists was remarkable. Tackling real-world problems through CEF's flagship STEM competition, these students showed that their ideas have genuine potential to benefit not just the chemical industry, but STEM more broadly.

For WIC, the dinner was a meaningful chance to reinforce our commitment to championing diversity, inclusion, and future talent development and to raise awareness of our work across the industry.

By showing up, sharing stories, and celebrating success, we continue to shape a more diverse, empowered chemical industry for generations to come.
