Women in Chemicals is a global community of female-identifying individuals and allies in the chemical industry dedicated to creating and identifying opportunities that empower women across the industry. Our growing membership spans the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, bringing together professionals who are passionate about connection, growth, visibility, and advancing women in the chemical industry.
Our purpose is to facilitate meaningful professional and personal connections that help drive career trajectory, increase visibility, and foster female empowerment throughout our industry. The Women in Chemicals Leadership Team plays a vital role in bringing this mission to life.
We are currently recruiting for 2027 Leadership Team positions and are looking for passionate, motivated women who want to make a meaningful difference for others in the chemical industry. We are looking for individuals with a commitment to our mission, a collaborative spirit, and a desire to help women thrive.
Leadership team members commit to:
At least one year of service
Approximately 5 hours per week
Regular virtual meetings and collaboration
Participation in person at our annual leadership meeting
Our leadership community is made up of brilliant, energetic, and purpose-driven women who are inspired to support one another and help shape a more connected and empowered future for women in the chemical industry.
Leadership Team Functions
Our team is organized into three primary functions:
Partnerships
Build and strengthen relationships with sponsors, media channels, industry organizations, and community connections that help advance the Women in Chemicals mission and expand our global impact. Partnerships manages sponsorship relationships, annual conference, in person events, media features, and relationships with industry wide ERG leaders.
Operations
Support the organization behind the scenes through administrative, marketing, finance, and member experience work to help our community continue to grow and thrive.
Programs
Create impactful experiences for women through mentorship, professional development, networking, and community engagement opportunities that provide empowerment and advancement of women in the chemical industry.
Roles within each function range from administrative and project-based support to leadership opportunities such as leading initiatives and guiding mentoring relationships. While much of the work is independent and flexible, execution, collaboration and connection are central to our culture.
