Your Time is Valuable, Making the Most of It

Session Summary:
Time is a precious commodity these days not only in work-life balance but also in managing competing priorities in a dynamic work environment while finding opportunities for personal and professional development. Although successful time management may look different for each individual, finding success can lead to increased productivity and personal fulfillment, reduced stress and self-guilt, and can, ultimately, unlock time for your most enjoyable activities. This interactive session will share the techniques and strategies detailed below to help you take back control of your time and make the most of it!

  • Prioritizing for impact: There are more actions, tasks, and demands than time in a day. Let’s discuss different approaches to prioritizing and reducing activity load to focus on those most critical and impactful.

  • Synergies to drive efficiency: Time is money and your time is very expensive! Find synergies in activities and tasks to optimize and reduce your time to completion.

  • Excellence over perfection: Strive for excellence as you work toward task completion. Achieving perfection will take twice as long often with the same result.

  • How to self-motivate: An introspective approach to building a personal reward system, helping you minimize procrastination especially when completing necessary but less-than-desirable tasks.

  • Just Say No! The shortest word in our English vocabulary is often the hardest word to say! Practice the art of saying “no” and delegating for nonzero-sum outcomes.

  • Importance of strategic thought time: Making time for strategic thinking is critical to driving your professional development and success. But did you know it is also important for managing your personal objectives and goals? We will explore different combinations of the strategies above to free your time and your mind.
